10am - 11:30am:  Workshop:  Workshop: Drag and Drop Multibeam Processing in CARIS HIPS and SIPS (Tami Francksen, Teledyne CARIS; Upper Salon)

For this workshop, participants are encouraged to bring a laptop and follow along with the latest in drag and drop Multibeam processing and automated sonar calibration tools. For information on suggested computer specifications, see the following link: http://www.caris.com/products/hips-sips/ and plan to arrive 15-20 minutes before the workshop begins for setup.  Observers are also welcome to watch the live demo starting off the daylong event celebrating the latest in robust, large volume sonar processing. One on one meetings can also be arranged throughout the day for more information.

1:00pm - 2:30pm:  Workshop: Make It Easy on Yourself: Multibeam Data Processing in Qimera Part 1 (Matt Wilson, QPS; Upper Salon)

In this workshop participants will be introduced to QPS Qimera multibeam processing workflows through live software demonstrations. Importing data, raw data extraction, and ensuing post-processing actions will be covered, while emphasizing quality control and highlighting how Qimera improves accuracy and timeliness through the elimination of processes traditionally completed manually.

1:00pm - 4:30pm:  On the water demos (J.F. Brennan, American Surveying & Engineering; Outside Dock)

3:00pm - 4:30pm:  Workshop: Make It Easy on Yourself: Multibeam Data Processing in Qimera Part 2 (Matt Wilson, QPS; Upper Salon)

This second QPS workshop will focus on a few of the advanced but simple to use tools available in Qimera. Software demonstrations will include patch test, wobble test, and the new automatic sound speed inversion tool released with Qimera 1.6. Additionally participants will learn how to process water-column data to quickly add additional soundings to a gridded surface, or digitize a point cloud to float above a gridded surface.

4:30pm - 5:30pm:  Break (Happy Hour sponsored by American Surveying & Engineering, Tent)
