The HOUSTON Chapter of the Hydrographic Society would like to thank all of our sponsors for the recent OTC Social held at the Saint. Arnold's Brewery on Thursday, May 8, 2008. We appreciate your generous financial contribution towards the scholarships we provide students entering our industry each year.

Nearly 140 people attended the event and from initial feedback, everyone had a good time. On behalf of The Hydrographic Society of America (THSOA), the Houston Chapter Committee sincerely appreciated all attendees taking their valuable time to come enjoy the festivities after a long and hectic OTC week; we hope to see y'all again next year !

The committee would also like to extend our gratitude to Wendy Post and Rick Hagen who every year, step up and take care of the details and event organization... thank you once again for a great job !

Our sincere appreciation to ZUPT for allowing Andria Munsch ('Andi') to do such a wonderful job creating and managing our membership newsletters; to Alma Ayala, Lisa Morton, Melissa Wood & C&C volunteers for handling the membership and event registration, and to Tim Griffin and Fugro for creating the sponsor posters and signs.

WELL DONE TO YOU ALL - AND THANK YOU ALL FOR COMING !

Each year, in lieu of our February "Technical" meeting, the Houston Chapter of THSOA assists with the hosting of an annual "Super Bowl Chili Cook-off". In May we host an event during the week of Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) and in December we arrange a wonderful Holiday evening bringing together members, spouses and friends. Checkout the latest newsletter for additional information and directions.

Anyone interested in giving a presentation (technical preferred over commercial/marketing) at one of theregular meetings should contact Jim Nash ~ Email "jnash AT terrasond.com".
