Come join us for the Southeast Chapter’s Gumbo Rumble on the Levee Thursday November 16, 2023 at Pat’s Fisherman’s Wharf in Henderson. Enter your team…

All gumbo will be cooked on site with roux made from scratch or store bought. Each team should be prepared to provide their own ingredients, pot, propane and burner and prepare enough gumbo for 50- 70 taster bowls (Table decorations and giveaways are encouraged). The chapter will provide the rice, bread, potato salad, green salad, bowls and utensils.

 This year there will be three categories– Surf Gumbo (Seafood), Turf Gumbo (Chicken, duck, turkey) and Mystery Swamp Monster Gumbo. Awards will be given for 1st place and runner up in each category and the Mystery Swamp Monster (Most unique presentation or ingredient), plus the Fan Favorite. All proceeds from this event will go toward funding the Southeast chapter’s Student Scholarship Awards program. To date the SE Chapter has awarded over $40,000 in Student Scholarships.
